Early Sunday morning, 56-year-old Kenny Clark got into his car and drove to the Superstition Mountains for a hike. But when Clark did not come home family members called police.

Search and rescue crews looked for Clark by foot, air and horseback for nearly a week.

Clark's body was found early Friday morning in Garden Valley, just east of the entrance to the First Water Trailhead. Not far from where his family found his vehicle.

Investigators say Clark has been dead since Sunday, which leads them to believe he may have not died of dehydration.
