Next time you reach the end of the toilet paper roll, Barbara Blalock wouldn't mind if you think of her. More specifically, her non-profit, Treasures 4 Teachers.
"Teachers need toilet paper rolls or paper towel rolls when they do class projects," she says. "And, they need 30 or 50 at a time."
Blalock collects things you might ordinarily toss in the trash or recycle like egg cartons, buttons and glass jars. She says teachers can find a use for nearly every item in a house or office. Treasures 4 Teachers often hits the jackpot with companies like Intel that donate boxes of supplies every quarter when they clean their offices.
