Scary moments at a Valley convenience store in the Northeast Phoenix.

Before 7 Wednesday morning a call came into the 9-1-1 call center of a white powder substance in a bag at the QuikTrip at 22nd Street and Bell.

Phoenix fire Hazardous Materials Team and the Phoenix Police Department's Bomb Squad arrived on scene to figure out what the substance was in one of the bathrooms.

Phoenix Fire Captain Larry Nunez said the substance turned out to be talcum powder but the huge response is in case it turns out to be a weapon of mass destruction. "Homeland defense is part of our national defense," said Nunez.

After the hazmat team and Homeland Security found out what the substance was the QT was reopened.
