PHOENIX (AP) - A hospital official says three corrections officers were among those treated after a fight broke out among about 200 black and Hispanic inmates at the state prison complex in Tucson, Ariz.
A spokeswoman at University of Arizona Medical Center confirmed seven inmates were also treated Thursday evening at the system's two hospitals.
All three guards had been released by midmorning Friday. One inmate is in critical condition, two are serious and two are fair. Two others were released.
The Arizona Corrections Departments says the fight started about 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the Santa Rita unit. The entire prison will be locked down for several days during an investigation.
The fight happened a day after a riot at the California State Prison, Sacramento in Folsom that injured 13 inmates.
