TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) _ It looks like Mark Mitchell has won the Tempe mayoral election.
That's according to unofficial election results released Thursday afternoon by the Maricopa County Elections Department.
Mitchell's opponent Michael Monti conceded the election in a statement released shortly after the results were announced.
Mitchell has 11,351 votes compared to Monti's 11,212.
Tempe officials say there are three remaining conditional-provisional ballots to be counted.
An automatic re-count would have been triggered if there were 10 or fewer votes separating the candidates.
