PHOENIX (AP) _ State health officials say a medical technician accused of infecting 30 patients with hepatitis C in New Hampshire briefly worked in Arizona.
The Maricopa County Department of Public Health says David Kwiatkowski worked through a temporary staffing agency at two Phoenix-area hospitals.
Health officials are offering hepatitis C tests to anyone who received care in the cardiac catheterization labs at Maryvale Hospital from March 9, 2009 to June 27, 2009, or at the Arizona Heart Hospital from March 22, 2010 to April 2, 2010.
The tests are confidential and free to those patients.
Kwiatkowski has said that he learned in May that he had hepatitis C. But prosecutors in New Hampshire say there's evidence that he had the liver-destroying disease since at least June 2010.
